Return on Investment
Early stakeholder involvement identifies the value they expect. This in turn helps to define clear, measurable outcomes so that the return on investment can be quantified.
“What gets measured gets done” and we use measurement to create a framework against which progress can be monitored, return on investment calculated and consistency of delivery ensured.
Impact
The effectiveness of leadership, team and organisation-wide programmes will be maximised when they are implemented as strategic initiatives rather than ad-hoc events. Our programmes always have a clear purpose defined and agreed with key sponsors and stakeholders. The true impact becomes evident when people become more effective at leadership, team and organisation levels.
Early stakeholder involvement identifies the value they expect. This in turn helps to define clear, measurable outcomes so that the return on investment can be quantified.
Measurement, whether in quantitative or qualitative terms creates a framework against which progress can be monitored, return on investment calculated and consistency of delivery ensured. When we measure, we also set clear expectations on outcomes which in turn creates rigour in the process.
What gets measured gets done
In each programme, our first step is “Assess” which includes measurement of a number of dimensions including start point or base level, and other measurement points depending on the nature of the programme.
We make use of a number of asessment tools for which we hold full accreditation. Each diagnostic has a specific purpose and we will recommend the most suitable ones for each requirement. These include:
- Emotional Intelligence Capacity (ECR)
- Leadership Potential (Korn Ferry)
- Team Capability (Team Diagnostic Survey)
- Senior Team Development (PROPHET)
- Stakeholder Feedback (360)
- Leadership Behaviour Derailers (Hogan)
Where organisations use OKR, Balanced Scorecard or other KPI we will where possible align with the measurement metrics in use so that the value of our programmes feeds directly into the performance measurement of the organisation, and ROI can be clearly identified.
Our steps to ensure strong ROI

- Assess core challenges and capabilities
- Involve stakeholders and align with business objectives
- Agree measurable outcomes
- Review progress regularly and adjust where necessary
- Measure results
- Celebrate success
- Ensure outcomes are sustained

“If you can measure it, you can achieve it. Most of us in business spend a lot of time measuring, it’s the only way we can know for sure how we are doing. Everything is measurable if we are clever enough to see that it needs measuring – and can devise a way to track it. Setting numerical targets makes you more likely to achieve them.”
