Cheers to the Chief Community

Last night I attended the closing celebration of the Chief Community in London and while it was a bittersweet moment for the founders, what an enriching time it has been to be a Guide in this community of smart, sassy women leaders. Chief’s mission is to create a trusted private network designed for executive women to elevate their leadership.

Thank you to the founding Chiefs who spearheaded this movement in London Remi Baker FRSA , Julie Stott , Sarah Thomas Ph.D. , Alex Cesar , Mary Assimakopoulos , Faye Farrant, Sabine VanderLinden , Carmina Lees , Reshma Shaikh , Phoebe Cole , Anne-Kathrin Thoms (née Schoberth) , Kari Anne H. Kjolaas-Holland , Madlen Schwachtje , Lara Beers and Lesley Kelly . Despite the challenges, we have all come through stronger for the experience. Wishing you continued success (as you define it) for your onward journeys.

While we bid adieu to Chief here in the UK, last night was testimony to the strong bonds and connections that have been enabled by Chief. In the words of Bréne Brown, “Connection” is “the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”

Here’s to sustaining the connections that have been built through the Chief network and seeing what unfolds.  Thank you Lindsay Kaplan and Carolyn Childers for starting such an exciting movement!
